  • Exhibition Sexpress Yourself

    When a collaboration is successful it needs to continue… so, once again, BUTFF and KOP have joined forces. This time KOP will arrange an exhibition that’s perfectly in style with this year’s BUTFF theme. The exhibition focuses on gender and sexuality, as we’re quite focused on those kind of topics nowadays. Last year there was the #MeToo campaign which hit many industries, including fine arts. John William Waterhouse’s Hylas and the Nymphs was removed from a museum because of its negative portrayal of women.

  • Introducing BUTFF Shorts Marathon!

    The blocks of shorts are a wildly popular part of the BUT Film Festival and therefore always sold out. That’s why we’re offering anyone who missed out another chance to see the shorts in Block 1, 2, 3 and 4 on a relaxed Sunday afternoon.

    There’s something for everyone in this pleasantly exhausting marathon session: over the top gore, absurd humor, alienating trash, unrestrained creativity and a large dose of films with a heightened BUT factor. In other words: all the news BUT has to offer in terms of shorts, all in one place.

    After last year’s success of the newly implemented element of (BUTworthy!) gaming at our festival, we ghouls decided to do it all again. We challenge game design veterans and NOOBS to break all boundaries and develop a game worthy of the BUT quality mark.

    After last year's succes of the new implied element of (BUT-worthy!) gaming at our festival, we ghouls decided to do it all again. We challenge game design veterans ánd NOOBS to break all boundaries and develop a game worthy of the BUT quality mark. Specs are: -Within 48 hours -No specified target group -Personal, instinctive and/ or humor based approach -Matching with this year theme of UnBUTtoned. The creators of the most BUT-worthy effect/feature in the Game Jam will find a BUTFF-award in their master chest during the presentation Game Jam, 14h.
